The Umbro International Cup is the largest International Soccer tournament held in Great Britain and is part of the spectacular Umbro International Football Festival. 2007 saw over 400 teams competing with entries from Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Eire, Estonia, France, Gibraltar, Israel, Kenya, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Northern Ireland, Norway, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Sudan, Sweden, Tanzania, Thailand, USA and Wales. Over 40 counties throughout England also competed.
The Umbro Women’s Tournament is recognised as the No1 women’s soccer tournament. The tournament enjoys a worldwide reputation and has been at the forefront in promoting girls football for the last 16 years here in the UK. The tournament is committed to helping the development of our Girl’s and Women’s game and actively encourages participation for teams of all levels and abilities.
All games are played at Manchester University’s Sports Complex, the venue used to host the 2002 Commonwealth Games.
